10 Simple Ways to Have A Great Day and Live A Better Life

Great days are often hard to come by nowadays. There’s too much worrying in the world. Sure, these tips won’t get rid of the worrying but they’ll certainly put you in a better mood – or at least one would hope. Once you’ve achieved your great day, all you need to do is set it on repeat for you life to be instantly enhanced.

  1. Wake Up Early
    Waking up just that little bit earlier will save the mad rush to get ready for work in time. You can do things at your pace and walk straight out of that door on time to get to work on time. For tips on how to wake up when your alarm goes off, please read this.
  2. Eat well
    A good, healthy breakfast to start the day off well is the right way to go. I’m talking about maybe a bowl of fruit, a yoghurt or even on some days some salmon with a bagel or something. Keep it varied. Keep it healthy.
  3. Take a walk
    The fresh air sweeping through your hair, inhale and exhale. Inhale and exhale. Listen to the soft song of the birds, chirping in their nest. Walk briskly, exercising and getting some fresh air at the same time.
  4. Two Minutes
    If a task takes less than two minutes to do, do it there and then.
  5. Practice your hobby
    Whatever your hobby is, whether it be writing, playing football, acting, drawing, photographing, cooking or running, it’s important to practice your hobby in order to sustain it.
  6. Relax
    Make sure you relax at some point during the day. Whether it be with a cold beer in the garden or snuggled up on the sofa watching a movie to relax is essential for your happiness and health.
  7. Get Organised
    Make a list of everything you have to do today, have everything prepared. This is to prevent any stress than many come from being unorganised.
  8. Don’t Procrastinate
    Don’t leave things until the last minute and put them off. To make sure you don’t get stressed out, it’s importaant not to procrastinate. Whether it be following the two minute or getting organised tips, I don’t know but make sure things are not left until the last minute. If it helps, plan ahead.
  9. Fresh and Clean
    I’ll take it as a given that you get up and make sure that you’re fresh and clean by washing, taking a shower/bath and brushing your teeth. If you’re fresh and clean then you feel much more alert and ready to start the day.
  10. A Hug a Day Keeps the Stress Away
    Research has shown that hugging is healthy for you. In The University of North Carolina the students led a study and proved that a hug lasting at least twenty seconds lowers your level of cortisol. Cortisol is the hormone which is produced when someone is stressed. On average, a person needs four hugs a day for survival, eight hugs a day for maintainence and twelve hugs a day for growth.

  1. I must say, I came for your writing posts but because there weren’t many of them, I’ve stayed for your self help posts.

    I love these tips. I particularly like the last one as I didn’t know that a hug could be so beneficial.
